April bird count

Hello Friends,

Birds are slowly trickling into Magee Marsh right now. The boardwalk was a little slow, but the usual early migrants (Yellow-rumped warbler, hermit thrush, blue-gray gnatcatcher, ruby-crowned kinglet, pine warbler) were seen. The most numerous waterfowl species was blue-winged teal, with rafts of ruddy ducks seen off of the beach. Thanks to Shane Roberts for helping us with the count! Here is our species list.
